Wondershare DVD to BlackBerry Converter is a DVD ripper. It can convert entire DVD movies or individual movie titles to a variety of video and audio formats. The application uses conversion profiles that are pre-configured conversion settings optimized for a few BlackBerry phones, including the BlackBerry Curve, Bold, Storm, etc. Most of the profiles use the MP4, WMV, AVI, and 3GP formats for video, and if your phone plays one of those formats, the video will be playable on it.
The user interface is simple and intuitive, with a video player at the right part of the screen and the quality and conversion settings at the bottom. There is a video editor that can be used for basic edition operations.
When you add a DVD disc or a folder to the user interface, you will be able to select individual titles and convert them, conserving any audio and subtitle track that you want. These can be selected from two drop-down menus at the bottom of the screen.
Wondershare has recently discontinued the video converter for BlackBerry phones, and I have a feeling that this ripper is next. At $29.95, you are probably better off getting a standard converter and customizing the profiles to your liking.
